Car of the day: MG

Old pearl from the garrage - MG (Morris Garages)

We saw this beauty in Klampenborg, in front of a nice vila and it instantly attracted our photographical curiosity. It is an MG (Morris Garages), a classic two seats sport car.
MG Cars was founded in 1924, had the headquarters in Oxford, UK and produced in a factory located in Abingdon, couple of Kilometers south of the main offices. During the last century, the history of the brand was quite tumultuous, involving it into different mergers, acquisitions and sales. MG was part of different entities: British Motor Corporation, British Leyland , British Aerospace, BMW or MG Rover. Since 2005, the rights over MG were purchased by Nanjing Automobile Group, the new owners trying to make the brand known to Chinese customers as 'Modern Gentleman'.
