Copenhagen faces, a picture and a story - Life is tough

Life is tough!

No matter where are we living or where are we coming from, life is tough and doesn't spare us from suffering. Sometimes life means stress, sufferance and sadness and the only thing that keep us going is our family, the ones we love and share with us all what is good and bad in life. But when we lose the people we love, we belive that the life has no meaning for us and sometimes, some people end up like the man in the above picture. It is very sad, unfortunately life is tough for the people not strong enough.

"Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact!" by William James

Cycling world cup 2011 has finished with the men's road race. A warm September day, much nicer then most of the July and August days, witnessed an expected win of Mark Cavendish, the British rider born in Isle of Man. The British team was always there to help him, and this perfect strategy was successful. Large Norwegian crowd saw their favourite, Thor Hushovd (last year winner) finishing on the 170th position, behind the only Romanian rider, Andrei Nechita (position 135). You can see the full results here.

Copenhagen faces, a picture and a story - Light my fire

Fire

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

DSC08820m

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

Helsinki is the capital of Finland, a vibrant cultural and economic city counting a bit over half million inhabitants. It is the northernmost capital of an EU member state.

Due to its excellent location, Helsinki was created as a trading city by King Gustav I of Sweden in 1550, in order to compete with the current Tallinn, in that period Reval, a member of the Hanseatic league. Its name was Hellssingeforss, transformed later in Helsingfors. The name comes from the Helsinge parish located there and the rapids (Swedish: fors) flowing through the original village. The city grown slowly, being heavily affected by poverty and the plague in the 1710. The city started to develop only when Russia defeated Sweden in the Finnish War, and annexed it to the Duchy of Finland, moving the capital from Turku. The city became the cultural center of the country, the only university being relocated here. Sankt Petersburg served as a model to the neoclassical architectonic style of the city.
