The Romanian Athenaeum

The Romanian Athenaeum is the main concert hall in Bucharest and, it is also a landmark of the city. It is home for "George Enescu" Philharmonic and hosts annually an international music festival: " George Enescu International Music Festival". It was designed by the French architect Albert Galleron in neoclassical style with romantic influences and was opened in 1888.
As a symbol of Romanian culture, the Romanian Athenaeum has been included in 2007 on the list of the Label of European Heritage sites.
