Fredragsrock in Tivoli - Joey Moe
Next one in the series of Tivoli concerts: Joey Moe. After that, some break as we are in Romania for a while. So who is Joey Moe would ask a non-Danish (and maybe a non-Hawaian) person? As you guessed from the previous phrases, he is a Danish-Hawaiian singer (is there any pure Danish singer?), quite known in Denmark for his collaborations with various other artists. Listening just one youtoube video of him, before the concert, we decided to give it a try. Tivoli was very crowded (not at Medina level though), mostly teenage girls waiting for their idol.
The concert was surprisingly good, with mixtures of Joey's songs with pieces from famous bands (Nirvana, Backsteet Boys or Toto). He had couple of bands playing with him. The most expected point of the concert was the moment when he took off his shirt, showing a white "marcel" (sleeveless t-shirt or in american slang "a wife beater") and throwing the shirt to the fans. We left pretty early having a plane to catch in the morning but we had some good time at the show.
