Sofiero Classic 2012
Today we attended the yearly Sofiero Classic in Helsingborg, Sweden, the feast of the cars of all times. Vintage cars, sport cars, classical cars or modern cars were exhibited in the huge gardens of Sofiero castle for everybody to admire them. The main subject of the show was prince Bertil of Sweden, born 100 years ago, and a big fan of cars and races (he even competed on a Bugatti 37, a similar model being exposed today as well). But the attraction of the day was the long queue of AC Cobra race cars, most of them in perfect shape, shiny and good looking. The weather was surprisingly good, very sunny and decently warm, comparing with the rain showers from last year.
As a funny side note, we were puzzled to find out that its quite tough to buy a bus ticket in Helsingborg. The drivers do not accept neither cash, nor cards while there is no selling machines or vending kiosks in the stations. So...where to get the tickets from? The drivers were not able to answer this dilemma so let us travel for free. Of course is more lucrative then selling tickets :-).
