Two benches admiring the sky

Two benches admiring the sky

Last week we had an amazing afternnon shooting session at Amager Strand. The clouds were perfect, lots of texture and pretty fast moving, it was rain over the sea , so we got as well two rainbows. The Lee Big Stopper turned out to be an improvement over the LCW faders. We will come later with a review of the expensive but reliable little piece of glass.

Urban decay

Urban decay

These images are shot during the google plus photowalk from 18/08. Can you imagine that such a place can exist in Copenhagen? It is located somewhere in the colorful Nørrebro, in a disused building, probably a lovely home for the local hobos and outlaws.
Used syringes, empty bottles, plenty of consumed graffiti sprays are all over the place; large spider webs are covering the corners while the pestilential smell doesn't let you to stay inside too long.

Lucy

Lucy

Last Saturday, we had a pinup beach photo session on Amager Strand. It was very funny experience, due to the great weather and the pretty girls. I struggled with the flash but in the end the natural light was the best. For today, we show you the firts of the three girls: Lucy (Lyudmila Ilchevska).

Listed havn beach - 2

Listed havn beach - 2

Another one from the rocky beach of at Listed havn. In the process of shooting that beach we had a collateral victim: a polarizer filter died on the altar of art. Tried to mount the Lee holder on top of it, was not able to unscrew it afterwards and suddenly the thin polarizer became two very thin pieces of useless glass. This is life. A replacemenrt is on the way.

Listed havn beach - 1

Listed havn beach

Last weekend we had a wonderful trip to Bornholm, the small island in Baltic sea, that belongs to Denmark. The target was to shoot some long exposure images on the rocky beaches of the island, with the newly acquired and famous Lee Big Stopper, the friend of all long exposure photographers. And this was as well the first chance of serious shooting using the dark square piece of glass. We started the trip at Listed Havn, after spotting a rocky beach with potential from the bus. And even in middle of a bright day, we achieved exposures between 30 and 90 seconds. This image marks also one of the first attempts to use Lightroom 4 for post processing. And although at the beginning it was a bit intimidating experience, it turned out that even if we miss the layers and masks from CS5, Lightroom is a strong tool for photographic editing.
More too come in the next days.
